St Clement's Ringing Centre has acquired a set of 10 handbells thanks to the generosity of Gareth Davies, from whom they are on long term loan. The bells will be a hands-on way of explaining change ringing, both to the general public and to novice ringers. They have already been put to use when Park Street School paid us a visit on the eve of the coronation. The bells were cast by the Codnor foundry in Derbyshire, several decades ago.
